Bihar: Seven dead after alleged consumption of spurious liquor

The police stated that when locals have blamed all the deaths on the consumption of spurious liquor

New Delhi, January 20

Seven people died allegedly after drinking spurious liquor in West Champaran district of Bihar.

The police came to know about the deaths, though the first fatality occurred four days ago.

The police stated that when locals have blamed all the deaths on the consumption of spurious liquor. The police however found that the reason behind at least two fatalities was not hooch.

As per the case details, the first death took place on January 15. The cause of the remaining five deaths was unclear as all seven bodies were cremated before the police were informed.

The police have set up an investigation team to find out the cause of the deaths. The district administration has aso ordered an inquiry into the incident.
