New Delhi, June 10
A fire engulfed the roof of the four storied BJP's office in Indore of Madhya Pradesh as party workers ignited firecrackers to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony. There were no casualties or injuries in the incident.
The police stated that the fire started as some firecrackers ignited the scraps of plywood, an old sofa, waste materials, and various other pieces of furniture on the roof of the building.
The fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire.
The fire started because some waste materials, like mattresses and beds, were lying there. The fire was brought under control in time, and there wasn't much damage, police added.
