The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a packet of contraband near Indo Pakistan border in Ferozepur district.
The officials said that the intelligence wing shared information regarding presence of a packet of narcotics in the border area of district Ferozepur. The BSF troops conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected area.
During the search operation, the troops successfully recovered one packet of suspected heroin weighing 500 grams from a farming field adjacent to village Machhiwara in district Ferozepur. The narcotics were packed in a plastic container which was wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and red colour tape alongwith 01 improvised hook.
In another incident at Indo Pakistan border, the BSF seized a drone with a packet of Heroin in it.
During the search, the troops successfully recovered one packet weighing 550 grams of suspected heroin in Roranwala khurd of district Amritsar. The narcotics were wrapped with blue colour plastic material. One luminous strip and one plastic ring were also found attached with the packet.
Reliable input of BSF intelligence wing and quick response of BSF troops foiled yet another illicit attempt of drugs smuggling from across the border, officials further added.
