CBI apprehends Head-Constable and Constable of Delhi Police in bribery case of Rs 2.5 lakh

Accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 5 lakh from the complainant for not implicating the complainant in NDPS case : CBI

New Delhi, March 29

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended two accused including a Head-Constable and a Constable of Delhi Police, Sagarpur police station for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs 2.5 lakhs from the complainant 

A case was registered by CBI on March 26 against two Police Officials of Delhi Police, PS Sagarpur on a complaint. It was alleged that police officials including the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 5 lakh from the complainant for not implicating the complainant in NDPS case. After negotiation, accused agreed to accept bribe of Rs. 3 lakh from the complainant.

The CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 2.5 lakh from the complainant. Later, both aforesaid accused persons have been apprehended, officials added.
