CBI arrests SI and two constables of Delhi Police in bribery case of Rs. 2.5 lakhs

The accused police personnel had demanded bribe of Rs. 2.5 lakh from the complainant for letting her continue betting activities

New Delhi, December 6

Thr Central  Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended three accused including Sub-Inspector, Head Constable and Constable of Delhi Police in bribery case Ra. 2.5 lakhs. 

The trio were posted  police chowki, Raghubir Nagar under police station Khyala  

The CBI registered on the basis of a complaint against two  accused including Head Constable and Constable of Delhi Police on allegations that accused Incharge, and accused  Head Constable, demanded bribe of Rs. 2.5 lakh from the complainant for letting her continue betting activities (Satta). 

It was alleged that accused also threatened the complainant that if she fails to pay the demanded bribe amount then they would send her and her sons to jail in false cases.


The CBI laid a trap and caught accused Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Police Constable, while accepting a bribe of Rs. one lakh through accused head constable, from complainant as part payment.
 
The agency also conducted  earches at the residential and official premises of all three accused.
