New Delhi, November 12
The Delhi Police have arrested a man was arrested from Hamirpur in UP for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl multiple times in Northwest Delhi last month.
The police stated that the accused and the girl’s mother used to work in the same factory and lived in the same neighbourhood.
The police added that the man used to take the girl to a secluded area near the factory and allegedly assault her when her mother was busy at work. The last time he assaulted her was on October 11.
The victim told her mother. The mother gathered a group of people and got the accused beaten up however the accused absconded.
The police then tracked down a tailor who had gotten the accused the factory job and a sister who lived in Jhansi. The police then went to the tailor's house in Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh), while another team went to his sister’s house in Jhansi. The police learnt that the accused used to have a job in Kanpur and had a brother staying in Mahoba (UP). However, subsequent raids at these places didn't help getting to the accused.
The police then tracked him to Hamirpur where the accused had gotten a job and was living with a friend.
