New Delhi, April 9
Jailed CEO from Bengaluru, Suchana Seth, who had murdered her four-year-old son in January last year, faced fresh legal trouble while in custody.
Seth, currently lodged as an undertrial at the Colvale Central Jail in Goa, allegedly assaulted a woman constable inside the prison’s Ladies Block.
As per the case details, Seth forcibly took the inward register of the Ladies Prisoner Block on April 7, around 11.30 am, without permission. When Constable Savita Navu Varak intervened, Seth is said to have verbally abused her using “filthy language” before physically assaulting her. Constable Varak was reportedly performing her regular duties when the incident occurred.
Jail officials have submitted a report on the latest incident, and further investigation is underway.
Seth, who once headed a Bengaluru-based AI startup, was arrested on January 9, 2024, after the police found the body of her four-year-old son in a suitcase from Goa.
