Mohali to have a new police station in IT City

New Delhi, June 7

A new police station is touted to come up in IT City of Mohali. 

This police station will be set up after bifurcating Sohana police station, which was the biggest police station in terms of catering the area.

The new police statin will initially be run from a makeshift place and later be shifted to regular building, officials informed. 

The IT City police station will cover the area from Sector 82 towards the IT City. With the setting up of new police station, the work load of Sohana police station will also decrease.

With the new station, the district will now have 19 police stations. The district currently has six police sub-divisions.
