NIA chargesheets two naxals in 2018 Naresh Singh Bhokla murder case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has chargesheeted two dreaded naxals in the 2018 Bihar case of abduction and murder of Naresh Singh Bhokta by CPI (Maoist) activists.
 
The fourth supplementary chargesheet filed by NIA on Friday takes the total number of accused chargesheeted in the case to 11.
 
The two chargesheeted accused have been identified as Anil Yadav of Gaya district of Bihar, and Pramod Mishra of Aurangabad district of the state. Both were notorious Naxal terrorists with various criminal cases registered against them in different police stations of Bihar and Jharkhand under IPC, Arms Act and UA(P) Act.
 
The duo was arrested in the instant case in February this year by NIA, which had taken over the investigation in June 2022.
 
NIA investigations have revealed that Pramod Mishra, then CCM and later Polit Bureau Member of the banned terrorist organisation - CPI (Maoist), had directed other Naxal cadres to eliminate civilian Naresh Singh Bhokta on suspicion of being a police informer. Anil Yadav, a Sub-Zonal committee member of CPI (Maoist), was a close aide of Pramod Mishra and was actively involved in the case.
 
Mishra had convened the meeting of Zonal commanders, SACs and RCMs of the banned outfit in the forest of Anjanwa, where it was decided to eliminate various SPOs, including Naresh Singh Bhokta. The victim, Naresh Singh Bhokta, was abducted and killed by cadres of CPI (Maoist) on 2nd November 2018.
