New Delhi, September 27
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting searches at seven locations in the Reasi terror attack case where innocent pilgrims were killed in Jammu and Kashmir.
The locations under investigation are connected to hybrid terrorists and Over-Ground Workers (OGWs), the anti-terror agency stated.
The agency has been conducting searches in the Rajouri and Reasi districts.
On June 9, a bus transporting pilgrims to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine fell into a gorge in Reasi district, Jammu, following a terrorist attack. 10 persons died in the incident. The incident occurred around when the bus, en route to the Shiv Khori temple—the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine's base camp was ambushed in Teryath village.
On June 17, the Ministry of Home Affairs transferred the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, initially claimed responsibility for the attack, but retracted its statement later.
So far, Hakam Khan from Rajouri was held for providing logistics to the terrorists and aiding in reconnaissance before the attack.
NIA teams have conducted searches since this morning, with more details forthcoming, officials stated. Earlier, on June 30, NIA had raided five locations associated with hybrid terrorists and their overground operatives in Rajouri.
