Madhuri was arrested and released on station bail by the police

The daughter of Andhra Pradesh YSRCP MP Beeda Masthan Rao, allegedly ran her car over a man in Chennai killing him.
A video has emerged which shows Rao's daughter Madhuri’s friend arguing with the locals. She was heard telling them that they had called for an ambulance to take Surya to the hospital.
The police stated that the victim, Surya, was allegedly drunk and lying on the roadside near a pavement in Besant Nagar area. The car in which Madhuri and her friend were travelling ran over Surya as they allegedly failed to notice him. The duo even called the ambulance but after making the call, they allegedly left the spot as the locals were getting agitated.
Surya's relatives and neighbours gathered at the J-5 Shastri Nagar Police Station, demanding justice
The police have booked Madhuri under IPC section 304 (a) (causing death by negligence). Madhuri was arrested and released on station bail by the police.
