A bomb threat email sent to the residence of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS). The police and bomb disposal squad confirmed the same to be hoax.
The police stated that the threat was received via email claiming that an explosive device had been planted at his residence.
The police stated that after receiving the alert a thorough search operation was undertaken. Bomb detection squads and sniffer dog units were deployed at the premises to examine the property and surrounding areas for any suspicious objects.
The officials later confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax. While the incident caused a brief period of concern, authorities have assured that all necessary precautionary measures were followed.
