Boyfriend allegedly kills girl inside a hotel room in Central Delhi, arrested

New Delhi, June 9
A young woman was found dead inside a hotel room in Central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area. The police have arrested her partner in connection with the case.
The couple have been identified as Sachin (31) and Sarika (29).
The police had received a PCR call by a staff member of a hotel on Arakashan Road in Paharganj informing that a woman was found lying dead in the bathroom while the man was missing.
The police found out that the couple had checked in on June 7 at 4.15 pm. The man was seen leaving the hotel premises alone on June 8 morning. The couple had ordered pizza and lassi in the evening, which was served to their room by the hotel staff.
During his interrogation, the accused Sachin claimed he and the woman were in a relationship, and he suspected she was having an affair. They quarreled over this when they met, and he then beat her before allegedly strangling her to death.
The preliminary findings suggest the woman was strangled with a drawstring. The police have taken samples for the forensics and photographs before the body was sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
