BSF and Punjab police seize a drone from Indo-Pak border in Amritsar district

The recovered drone has been identified as China made DJI Mavic- 3 Classic

New Delhi, July 1

The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Punjab Police recovered a China-made drone from Tarn Taran district in Punjab. 

Acting upon the information of the BSF intelligence wing about the presence of a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, a joint search operation by BSF troops and the Punjab Police was conducted in the area.

During the search operation, the troops recovered a drone from a farming field near Kalsh Havelian village in Tarn Taran.

The recovered drone has been identified as China made DJI Mavic- 3 Classic.

The BSF stated that the successful operation is a result of prompt sharing of information and well coordinated efforts of BSF troops and Punjab Police, thus underscoring their commitment to decimate the menace of illicit drones from across the border.

The force also recovered another Chinese along with a suspected packet of narcotics on June 24 from Amritsar border.

Notably, the BSF had recovered another China-made drone from a field near Noorwala village in Tarn Taran district, in a joint operation with the Punjab Police on June 22.
