CBI arrests a patwari from Jammu in a bribery case

New Delhi, November 5
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an accused Patwari, in Jammu for demanding and accepting bribe from complainant.
The CBI stated that a case was registered by CBI in October against accused Patwari, Patwar Halqa, Chhan Khatrian, Tehsil Hira Nagar, Kathua, Jammu on allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant for attestation of mutation in respect of land purchased by the complainant.
The agency had laid a trap and caught accused Patwari red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant.
The agency also conducted searches at the residential premises of accused.
