CBI arrests Delhi Police constable from Model Town police station in bribery case

The accused Head constable of Delhi Police demanded bribe of Rs. 10,000 from complainant for de-freezing his account : CBI

New Delhi, October 28

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended accused head constable of Delhi Police, Cyber Police Station, Model Town for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 8000 from complainant.

The CBI stated that a case was registered by CBI on October 24 against accused Head constable of Delhi Police, Cyber Police Station, Model Town on allegations that accused Head constable of Delhi Police demanded bribe of Rs. 10,000 from complainant for de-freezing his account. After negotiation, accused agreed to accept bribe amount of Rs. 8000 from the complainant.

The CBI laid a trap and caught accused red-handed while accepting part bribe amount of Rs. 8000 from complainant. Later, accused Head constable of Delhi Police was apprehended.
