CBI conducts polygraph on former Chief of RG Kar Medical College

CBI conducted layered voice analyst (LVA) and polygraph tests during the investigation; the CFSL found Ghosh's version “deceptive” and “misleading”

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the Kolkata rape-murder case conducted a polygraph test of former RG Kar hospital principal Dr Sandip Ghosh after he allegedly attempted to deceive the CBI investigators.

The CBI also arrested Kolkata police official Abhijeet Mondal in the case for his alleged collusion with Dr. Sandip Ghosh in attempting to cover the gruesome incident. 

The officials said that they conducted layered voice analyst (LVA) and polygraph tests during the investigation. the CFSL found Ghosh's version “deceptive” and “misleading”. 

It further stated that Dr Sandip Ghosh did not intend to register an FIR in the matter despite being in consultation with a lawyer. The complaint was eventually filed by the RG Kar hospital's vice-principal, and after passing it off as a suicide.

The findings showed that former RG Kar principal had been in touch with Abhijit Mondal since 10.03 am on August 9, when the trainee doctor's semi-naked body was found inside the seminar hall. Dr Sandip Ghosh also did not go to the hospital immediately, even though information about the body found was conveyed to him at 9.58 am on August 9.

Ghosh was arrested by the CBI in a case of financial irregularities in the hospital.
