Delhi police constable aided a woman who ran pillar to post in over six hospitals in New Delhi to admit her old grandmother. When the woman lost all hopes, the constable came to her rescue.
Delhi police constable Anil Kumar helped Joohi Mishra and got her grandmother admitted at in Lady Hardinge Medical College who complained of breathless and suffocation.
DCP (New Delhi), Eish Singhal stated Durgavati (72) felt suffocated and breathless in the morning at her Motia Khan residence. She suspected corona like symptoms and her granddaughter Joohi Mishra took her to several hospitals but was refused admission.
Mishra escorted her to Ganga Ram, Jeevan Mala, BLK and RML but all hospitals refused due to non availability of the bed. At last, She was referred to LNJP hospital. But while rushing towards LNJP hospital near Gole market, Durgavati started loosing her senses. Mishra made a panic call to find help at Delhi Police Helpline number 011-23469900.
The officials said she received proper and prompt response from on duty helpline attendant ASI Gurdev Lal 5432/PCR and Joohi Mishra on acting upon his guidance, stopped midway while going to LNJPN hospital at LHMC and approached duty constable Anil Kumar, who immediately helped to get her grandmother admitted in the emergency ward. He also aided in getting life support system like oxygen and other necessary medical help.
Durgawati is in stable condition now.
