Dalit boy sexually assaulted and murdered in Kanpur district

New Delhi, February 12

A 10-year-year old Dalit boy in Kanpur was found with serious injuries on his body who was suspected to be sexually assaulted before the murder. 

The police found his body in an agriculture farm in the outskirts of Kanpur. 

The officials said that his body was found naked with marks on his chest, eyes and suggested he has been sexually assaulted too before being strangulated to death. His clothes were found few meters away from the body. 

The police have sent the body for post mortem to ascertain the assault and murder. 

The police added that the family of the boy was identified and informed. The authorities are waiting for a detailed autopsy report to file charges as per the findings. 

The police have launched a search operation to identify the accused.
