Delhi Police arrest six from a narcotic syndicate in Northwest Delhi

The Northwest district arrested a narcotic drugs supplier in Model Town area leading to the arrest of five persons in the syndicate in the district. The police seized smack from the accused.
As part of the ongoing drive against drug traffickers and suppliers active in Delhi, the team of Model Town police station had been actively developing intelligence in the Nanak Piao Gurudwara area. The team spotted suspicious individual near Nanak Piao Gurudwara, Model Town, Delhi, along with a scooty bearing registration number UP-14CK-5474.
Upon searching, a plastic polythene containing Smack was recovered from his possession. The individual was identified as Abhishek alias Tedha. A thorough search of the accused was conducted, and the contents of the plastic polythene were tested using a Test Kit, confirming the substance as "Smack". The total weight of the recovered substance was found to be 8.24 grams.
DCP (Northwest) Bhisham Singh stated that the accused admitted to procuring smack from Rajendra and Abhay and further selling it at inflated rates near Gurmandi and Lal Bagh to drug users, thereby actively contributing to the smack supply chain.
Acting on his lead, the police team apprehended five accused persons, and a total of 9 grams of smack, seven mobile phones, and one Grand Vitara car (DL3CDC-1312) which was being used for the transportation of smack were recovered from their possession, DCP Singh further added.
The Delhi Police, under the guidance of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Sh. Vinay Kumar Saxena and the leadership of Commissioner of Police Sh. Sanjay Arora, is actively implementing a comprehensive anti-drug campaign.
To combat drug-related crimes, various operations and campaigns are being conducted across all districts and units of Delhi Police. In a concerted effort to eliminate the drug menace from society, strict and effective action has been mandated against narco-offenders.
