Delhi Police arrests two Bangladeshi women living illegally in East Delhi

New Delhi, March 31
The Delhi Police arrested two Bangladeshi womenfrom the Mandavli area for residing in India illegally for the past four years.
The police identified the women as Alifa, 24, and Asma, 24, from Dhaka.
The police elaborated that the duo entered India in 2021 through Kolkata and boarded a train to Bengaluru They allegedly came to Mahipalpur from where they moved to Laxminagar and have been living in the Mandawali area for the past year.
DCP (East), Abhishek Dhania stated that the women have been residing in various localities without valid documents or permits. Legal action is being initiated under the provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946, as well as the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the illegal Bangladeshis.
The Delhi Police have been carrying out extensive drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in November 2024.
