Delhi Police Chief issues order to police personnel to not send personal complaints of ERSS 112

New Delhi, September 22

The Delhi Police Commsisioner Sanjay Arora passed an order directing police personne; not to use the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) to register personal and or duty related complaints. 

Delhi Police Commissioner, Sanjay Arora in an order stated that police personnel are showing “highly undesirable behaviour” by putting in personal complaints on ERSS-112 which are “non-emergent”. 

The police personnel who call about personal complaints or duty-related complaints will be guided about appropriate redressal forums for their grievances. However, police personnel who make “repeated calls” will face administrative action, the order further stated 

The CP also warned officers that a disciplinary authority will investigate the matter and take departmental action against repeat callers.

The official stated that the police personnel can write an email to official IDs or contact the Vigilance Department for such queries or grievances.
