Delhi Police conduct searches at 100 locations, several held under 'Operation Kavach'

The operation against drug trafficking was conducted as per the direction of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora

New Delhi, February 15

The Delhi Police raided over a hundred locations and arrested several people under ‘Operation Kawach 7.0’.

‘Operation Kawach’ is an initiative started in Delhi last May to apprehend individuals involved in the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances.

The operation against drug trafficking, which began at 6 pm, was conducted as per the direction of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.

The raids were also conducted at the whereabouts of the gangs involved in the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics substances and their members, police said. 

The units of the Delhi Police, including the Crime Branch, Special Cell and the police of 15 districts participated in the operation.
