Delhi Police constable mowed down by drunk car occupants in Outer Delhi

The deceased constable Sandeep (30) was patrolling in Nangloi area where he spotted two men drinking in the car and asked them to go away, enraged the duo rammed the car into him

In a tragic incident, a Delhi Police constable was mowed down by a car in an incident of road rage. The police have arrested two men who were in the vehicle. 

Constable Sandeep (30), dressed in plainclothes, was patrolling the streets of Outer Delhi’s Nangloi on his motorcycle. He was keeping an eye out for miscreants after reports of a rise in burglaries were received from the area. 

The police stated that the incident took place near Jatt Dharmshala in Veena Enclave, Sandeep spotted a WagonR being driven recklessly and asked the driver to slow down however the driver hit the constable and dragged him for 10 metres. 

The accused have been identified as Rajnish alias Sittu and Dharmendra Gulia (39), who was behind the wheel. 

The further probe in the incident has revealed that the constable had noticed Rajnish and Dharmendra drinking inside their white WagonR and asked them to not consume alcohol in the area. The duo got angry and decided to hit the constable's bike. When he asked them to go away after which they drove towards Nangloi Railway station.

Sandeep tried to ask Dharmendra to pull up and not drive further in an inebriated state, Dharmendra got angry and planned to ram into the constable’s bike. Rajnish suggested to Dharmendra that they should kill constable Sandeep.
