Delhi Police held a security guard for stealing bag of a NRI woman in Dwarka

The Delhi Police have arrested a security guard for allegedly stealing the bag of an NRI woman from Manipal Hospital in Dwarka.
The accused, later identified as Ankit, 26, was arrested on the spot. The accused was previously involved in 13 theft cases.
The woman lodged a complaint on April 5 at the Dwarka South Police Station, saying her bag disappeared while she was paying some bills at the Manipal Hospital.
The police stated that CCTV footages of the hospital and nearby areas were analysed. The footage showed that a man was stealing the bag when the NRI was paying the bills of her father at the bill counter. He was also seen fleeing from the spot.
According to the police, they received a tip-off on April 6 about the suspect at 55 Foota Road, Mohan Garden.
The police added that the accused was in need of money; he wanted to pay house rent and other expenditures. He went to Manipal Hospital and saw a lady paying the bills on the counter and that she had put her bag on the chair and decided to rob it.
