Delhi Police South East District arrested one transgender for robbing gold

New Delhi, April 14

Delhi Police South East District arrested one transgender for robbing gold chain from a driver who offered to help her by giving lift.

The accused was identified as Divya Khan a resident of Malviyanagar.

As per the case details, the complainant Ashok Kumar was going to his native house in Bulanshahar U.P. When he reached near DND flyover, Sunlight Colony, a lady asked him for lift on which he stopped the car and let the lady in. After he drove a little further, he realized that she was transgender when she started acting indecently. The complainant resisted and asked her to move out of his car. Later on, he found that his gold chain was missing. He tried to find that transgender but failed to do so. Thereafter, he registered an online complaint and FIR was registered bas Sunlight Police Station.

The police added that on March 13, the complainant was going on the same route and he saw the same transgender he had given lift that day. He immediately contacted the police who rushed to the spot and apprehended the said transgender.

The police added that during the interrogation, accused disclosed that she earns by attending marriages and begs for  money on road from Sarai Kale Khan to DND. On March 2, she was standing beside the road near DND and waiting for lift on which a person stopped his car and let her in where she tried to seduce the person and saw that he was wearing a gold chain on his neck which she managed to steal with her manoeuvres and when the person stopped the car and asked her to leave she got away from there.
