Delhi Police Special Cell arrest one of India's most wanted, Deepak Boxer from Mexico

New Delhi, April 4
The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested Delhi’s most wanted gangster Deepak Pahal aka Deepak Boxer in Mexico.
This is the first time the Delhi Police have caught a gangster outside India.
The operation was conducted with the assistance of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
As per the case details, he had fled the country and went to US and then fled to Mexico. Pahal had been absconding since September last year.
Deepak was arrested in a case and was serving his sentence but he got out on parole and never returned.
Pahal, who is being brought back to the country, was allegedly involved in the murder of a North Delhi-based realtor Amit Gupta. Gupta, 48, was shot several times in the Civil Lines area in August last year. Two jailed gangsters from the infamous Gogi gang were arrested in the case along with an assailant.
The police had said they found during the investigation that the Gogi gang and Pahal planned the murder to take “revenge” as Gupta allegedly had links with rival gang Tillu Tajpuria gang.
The Special Cell stated that Pahal is a history-sheeter and is involved in multiple murder, robbery and extortion cases. In 2021, Pahal and his associates allegedly threw chilli powder at a team of Delhi Police and freed gangster Kuldeep Mann from their custody. Mann alias Fajja was later killed in a police encounter in West Delhi.
