Delhi Police Special Cell arrested five criminals of Lawrence Bishnoi - Kala Jathedi syndicate

The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested five criminals of Lawrence Bishnoi - Kala Jathedi syndicate. The accused were wanted in multiple cases of daylight murder, extortion, encounter with police.
The accused were identified as Kapil Nehra alias Kapil Nindana (23) of Rohtak in Haryana. He was carrying a reward of Rs. 2,00,000/- in a triple murder case of Gurugram and reward of Rs. 25,000/- from Rohtak, Haryana in a double murder case and Rs. 5,000/- from Rajasthan in another murder case. The other accused was identified as
Yashpal alias Sarpanch (28) of Mau Pataudi in Haryana. He was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000/- in a triple murder case of Gurugram and Rs. 5,000/- from Rajasthan in another murder case. Rajeev alias Raju Basai (25) of Basai in Haryana was carrying a reward of Rs. 50,000/- in a triple murder case of Gurugram, Haryana. Another accused, Rahul Mehalawat (23) of Bilaspur in Haryana was carrying a reward of Rs. 1,00,000/- in the triple murder case of Gurugram, Haryana while accused Gagandeep alias Guni (35) of Barnala in Punjab was previously involved in over 20 criminal cases registered in Punjab & Uttrakhand.
DCP Special Cell (Counter Intelligence) Manishi Chandra stated that the accused were wanted in sensational broad daylight triple & double murders, attempts to murder, extortion, encounter with police and Arms Act in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttarakhand.
In keeping up the law enforcement pressure upon the emerging threat posed by gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi (in Ajmer jail) and Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi (wanted), a team of Counter Intelligence, Special Cell, Delhi led by Inspectors Vikram Dahiya and Inspector Sandeep Dabas, under the supervision of ACP Rahul Vikram, has apprehended five criminals who were the operational mainstay of the criminal syndicate.
The officials said that these criminals are ‘guns-on-hire’ and had committed a series of gruesome crimes in the recent past, acting as a bridge between Lawrence Bishnoi-Kala Jathedi’ and another infamous wanted gangster of Gurugram namely Sube Gurjar, who is carrying a reward of Rs. seven lakhs in his arrest.
Mentioning about the criminal cases of the accused, the special cell stated, in October 2020, an encounter had taken place with a team of Special Cell wherein associates of Yashpal were arrested after a shootout. Yashpal was wanted in this case and a NBW had been issued against him by the concerned court.
In another case of August 2020 related to a gangwar, Rajeev along with his associates Kapil Nindana, Rahul Bilaspur and others had killed three rival gang members namely Sashikant, Anmol and Sameer in a broad daylight shootout in Gurugram.
In February 2020, Yashpal, Kapil Nindana, Rajeev, Rahul Bilaspur and others had killed a rival criminal namely Moni in Rewari. In February this year, Kapil Nindana along with Yashpal, Rahul Bilaspur and Gagandeep reached at Nindana village to eliminate some members of a rival gang. However, due to misidentification, two innocent persons namely Ankush and Vikas were killed whilst two others were grievously injured.
In October 2020, as per instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada based gangster Goldy Brar, Yashpal along with his associates attacked and killed a rival criminal namely Rana Sidhu at village Aulakh Malout, Muktsar, Punjab.
In November 2020, as per instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi & Goldy Brar, Yashpal along with his associates attacked one Saifi, a resident of Faridkot and fired over a dozen bullets on the car in which he was travelling. In the same period, Yashpal along with his associates was intercepted by Uttarakhand Police in Sitarganj, Haldwani. After a skirmish, Yashpal managed to escape whereas his associates were arrested.
In March 2020, Rajeev Basai along with Kapil Nindana and others murdered his own wife in suspicion of an illicit relationship with a rival gang member at Village Chhara, Jhajjar, Haryana. In June 2020, Yashpal, Kapil Nindana and Rajeev Basai along with their associates killed one Jitesh in Kotkasim, Rajasthan as per instructions of Sube Gurjar.
They committed similar such crimes in Delhi and Haryana last year.
The special cell stated that after escaping from police custody of Haryana Police in February, 2020, gangster Kala Jathedi has been working to expend his network in Delhi and adjoining states. Over the past one year, he has joined hands with many criminal gangs and brought them in his criminal alliance.
The officials added that after the arrests of all major criminals of Delhi in the last one year by Special Cell and other Units, hard core criminals and gangsters from neighboring Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan have been trying to make inroads into the National Capital, trying to occupy the vacuum that has been created. Lawrence Bishnoi and Sube Gurjar, by common understanding, are amongst the most dangerous gangsters operating in areas surrounding Delhi. Lawrence Bishnoi has been trying to make inroads into Delhi for last eight to ten months.
The officials added that while Lawrence Vishnoi himself is in jail, his close associate Kala Jathedi is working to expand the syndicate’s footprints in Delhi. Kala Jathedi is closely assisted by one Kala Rana of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, suspected to be hiding in a South East Asian country.
Another criminal called Hariom, who is lodged in jail, brought Kala Jathedi and Sube Gurjar together. This alliance resulted in the commission of a sensational triple murder followed by several other crimes committed by the arrested accused as narrated above, the officials added.
The special cell had received specific input regarding the movement of targets in Delhi. The unit laid a trap near Chandgi Ram Akhara red light at Ring Road. The accused were arrested from the spot. During their cursory search, loaded firearms including two Zigana & one Taurus pistols etc. and over 70 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
The Special Cell is further investigating the case to trace the other members of the gang while interrogating the arrested accused.
