Delhi Police Special Cell extradite Sachin Bishnoi from Azerbaijan

New Delhi, August 3
The Delhi Police received massive success in extraditing Sachin Thapan alias Sachin Bishnoi, wanted gangster, cousin of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in murder of Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala.
He has been extradited from Azerbaijan to Delhi. His arrest is the latest in a series of arrests that has broken the criminal networks of foreign–based gangsters in Punjab.
Sachin Bishnoi, alias Tilak Raj Toteja, was extradited from the eastern Transcaucasian nation of Azerbaijan and returned to India on July 1. Sachin’s arrest is the most recent in a string of arrests that have dismantled several foreign-based criminal networks in Punjab.
On Facebook, Sachin had claimed responsibility for Moosewala’s murder. Sachin had left India using a fake passport soon after Moosewala was killed.
Special CP (Special Cell), HGS Dhaliwal stated that a thorough investigation and technical procedures revealed Sachin had traveled to Azerbaijan and continued carrying out criminal activities through his network in India. A Red Corner Notice was issued against him for his apprehension as soon as it was confirmed that he had arrived in Azerbaijan. With the help of multiple agencies; CBI-Interpol, MEA, MHA and Azerbaijan Police we were finally able to extradite him.
According to the Special Cell, Sachin was in constant touch with Canada based gangster Goldy Brar, who is in Canada, and was planning to go to the US using the ‘donkey route’ from Azerbaijan. He was planning to go to America and join Anmol Bishnoi. In June-July last year, the local police in Azerbaijan detained him.
This is the second extradition by the Delhi Police. In April, the capital’s most wanted gangster, Deepak Boxer, was arrested in Mexico’s Cancun City and brought to Delhi.
