Greater Noida missing teen's body recovered from canal

New Delhi, July 22

The Noida police recovered the body of a  missing of Greater Noida from a canal in Rabupura area. 

The police have arrested two accused, also minor, for hiding the bike and clothes of the deceased teenager. The police have also recovered the bike.  

The police stated that complainant Charan Singh had informed the police that his 15-year-old grandson Mudit had left the house on a bike without informing him. As soon as the police received the complaint, two teams were formed to search Mudit.

The Rabupura station police received information that the Pisawa station police found an unidentified body of a child from the Shadipur canal. On receiving this information, the team of Rabupura police station reached Pisawa. The identification revealed that the dead body was of Mudit.

During the investigation, the police came to know that Mudit had gone to bathe in the canal with two of his friends. The police took both of them into custody. On the behest of both, Mudit's motorcycle was recovered from the Bhaura canal with the help of local divers.

The accused told the police that on July 16, he had gone to bathe in the canal with Mudit. While taking bath, Mudit went into the deep water of the canal and drowned. The accused got scared and dumped Mudit's motorcycle and clothes in the canal to erase the evidence so that no one would suspect foul play.
