New Delhi, June 8
The Haryana Police arrested three more people in connection with the killing of a gym trainer, who was attacked by a group of 15 men in Nuh of Haryana.
The victim, gym trainer Asif Khan and his two cousins were returning from Sohna when the incident occurred on May 16.
The police have arrested 13 accused in connection with the case.
The arrested accused were identified as Rohit alias Kala, a resident of Udaka, Pardeep alias Patwari and Amit, both residents of Kheda Khalilpur,
On May 16, Asif of Kheda Khalilpur was killed by a group of armed men due to personal enmity.
The body of deceased was found near village Nangli Sohna.
Asif and his two cousins, Rashid (30) and Wasif (31) were in a car. They had started from their village, Khalilpur (Mewat), and headed to Sohna to get medicines. The trio was ambushed on their way back, after they had entered Mewat.
A group of youths intercepted their car near Jacopur and thrashed all three of them. Asif died while the two others sustained injuries.
Asif was found dead in Nangli, a village on the outskirts of Sohna.
Asif's family had alleged Asif was the victim of a mob lynching and that his kidnappers had forced him to say 'Jay Shri Ram'.
The Nuh police police, however, refuted the claims stating this was not a hate crime but an outcome of enmity between two groups of youths from the same village.
