Jeweller held captive, assaulted and looted off jewellery in Zirakpur of Punjab
The men barged into his store and held him captive in a restroom and assaulted him before fleeing with jewellery
New Delhi, October 15
Two bike-borne men allegedly took a jeweller hostage in his shop, fired gunshots and took away gold and silver jewellery in Zirakpur of Punjab.
The incident took place at the store of Sam Soni, the owner of Divya Jewellers located in Lohgarh area. The police stated that the incident happened around 2 pm when two men with their faces covered allegedly took him hostage and assaulted him.
While the robbers were fleeing after taking away the jewellery, some locals tried to chase them but the robbers threatened them by pointing a pistol at them and managed to flee on their bike.
The locals gathered near the area after hearing gunshots.
The police rushed to the spot and have after examining the spot have registered and FIR.
