Kerala Police books BJP national secretary Anil K Antony for allegedly promoting enemity

The Kerala police registered a non-bailable case against BJP national secretary Anil K Antony for allegedly promoting enemity in connection with sharing a post on X.
The police had suo motu registered the case on October 28.
The police stated that on October 27, Antony shared a video of women creating a ruckus on a bus. He shared the post with the comment “this is the brand of secularism that the INDI alliance led by Congress and CPI(M) want to bring to the national mainstream. No bus ride in North Kerala without a burqa.”
The video showed college students, mostly Muslim girls, protesting on a bus. A woman without a burqa is then seen picking an argument with them apparently over their actions.
The cyber cell in Kasargod booked him under section 153 A of IPC, which deals with promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion.
