Minor boy shoots another minor with air gun in UP, leaves him paralyzed

New Delhi, August 9
In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old shot his 12-year-old neighbour in the head with airgun leaving him paralysed in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place on July 21 which came to the light on August 8 when the victim's family lodged a FIR with the police.
The police said the incident had taken place just a day before the birthday of the victim.
According to the police, the boy was put on ventilator for four days after he was operated upon at Apollo Hospital in Lucknow.
The boy is completely bedridden as he has suffered paralysis on the left side of the body, officials added.
The victim's father Abhay Dwivedi filed an FIR and also approached Uttar Pradesh Commission for Protection of Child Rights..
In his police complaint, Abhay has stated, "His son was playing on the terrace when the son of his neighbour came on his terrace and an argument ensued between the two children on July 21. Later, the accused picked up his father's airgun and shot his son in the head."
The police have registered a case against the juvenile for grievously hurting person by doing a negligent act and endangering life of person.
