NIA arrests one in bomb explosion at Nimtita railway station

New Delhi, June 4

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested one in bomb explosion at Nimtita railway station.

The accused was identified as Isha Khan alias Isha SK of Murshidabad in West Bengal.

The case pertains to an incident of explosion of bomb at platform No. 2/3 of Nimtita Railway Station, causing serious injuries to 22 persons including Jakir Hossain, the then Minister, Government of West Bengal in February.

The NIA investigation revealed that the arrested accused was involved in supply of explosives to accused Sahidul Islam which was used in the blast at Nimtita Railway Station.

The NIA is further investigating the case.
