The NIA Special Court Patna pronounced quantum of sentence against eight JMB terrorists who were convicted for recovery and explosion of IED at Bodh Gaya.
The three chargesheeted accused Paigambar Sheikh, Ahmad Ali and Nur Alam Momin have been awarded life imprisonment while five chargesheeted accused Adil Sheikh, Dilwar Hossain, Abdul Karim, Mustafizur Rahman and Arif Hussain have been awarded 10 years of rigorous Imprisonment.
This case was registered in February 2018 after three IEDs in and around the premises of Bodhgaya temple complex.
The NIA had filed chargesheet against three accused on and supplementary chargesheet was filed in January 2019 against remaining six accused.
The NIA stated that the further trial against one remaining chargesheeted accused is on.
