Teen boy killed by girlfriend's family in Bihar, family burns his pyre outside girl's home

A 17-year-old boy was killed over an alleged love affair in Bihar's Muzzafarpur district and was cremated in front of the accused's house.
The boy's genitals were mutilated by the girl's family in Rampur Sah village following which he died during the treatement at a hospital on July 24.
A video has surfaced where hundreds of persons were seen storming into a house and later burning a pyre outside the house. The police, tensing tensions, had deployed huge troops of policemen in the village for last two days.
The police arrested three persons in the case. The main accused was identified as Sushant Pandey.
The Muzzafarpur (City) police stated that the the girl's family that was against the relationship of their daughter with the victim had beaten him up and cut off his genitals.
Police later said that the prime accused in the case, Sushant Pandey, was arrested along with three others in connection with the case.
The Muzaffarpur police said in a statement, "The family members of the deceased disrupted the law and order situation at the house of one Sushant Pandey in Muzzafarpur on Saturday. Police acted swiftly and arrested Sushant Pandey, who is the prime accused of killing Saurabh Kumar.
The boy's family told police that after the girl's family had refused to accept the marriage proposal, they had sent their son off to another city for work. However, when he was in town for a family function, thr girl's brother called him to his house and attacked him. The girl's father was also threatened on gunpoint to give a statement to police that the boy was handed over alive by the girl's family, officials added.
