Teen girl on way to college gangraped, Rajasthan Police suspends SHO who refused to lodge her complaint

A teen girl Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district was abducted and gangraped while she was on her way to collegee. Bharatpur Police have suspended the SHO of the police station who refused to register the girl’s complaint after the incident.
The police said the incident took place on November 29 when she was on the way to college with a friend. The two accused allegedly abducted and gangraped her in the fields
The rape victim who took many rounds of the police station and got tired of getting her complaint registered told reporters in Jaipur that the station house officer (SHO) refused to listen to her. After repeated requests when he didn’t register the FIR, the victim went to Bharatpur SP office to file a complaint.
The Bharatpur police registered the FIR on December 3 after the SP instructed the police to register the FIR.
The police have registered a case under Sections including 376D (gangrape) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage, etc.) of the Indian Penal Code.
Bharatpur SP Devendra Kumar Bishnoi stated that the SHO of the police station has been suspended for delay in registering the FIR.
The police have launched a hutn to trace the accused who are on the run. The accused are yet unidentified.
