Trainee doctor from Tamil Nadu jumps to death in her college
The police added that victim was suffering from depression due to personal reasons
New Delhi, September 2
A trainee doctor studying at a private medical college in Tamil Nadu jumped from the fifth floor of a building on campus.
The victim was identified as Sherlin (23) who hailed from Tirunelveli and was a fifth-year student and trainee doctor at Meenakshi Medical College, a private hospital in the Kanchipuram district.
The police stated that she was caught on camera by other students sitting for a long time outside the fifth-floor window sill on September 1. Before anyone could approach or speak to her, she reportedly jumped.
She was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.
The police added that Sherlin was suffering from depression due to personal reasons.
The local police have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter, and the body has been sent for postmortem
