Up in arms, geared up with life jackets and boats, Delhi Police is rescuing stranded citizens in the city. Massive rescue operation are being carried out in the national capital that is water logged since days after the water level of Yamuna river crossed the danger mark. The Delhi Police personnel alongwith NDRF and civil defence staff have been rescuing stranded people and animals. Massive rescue ops are being carried out in East, Northeast, Shadara and Yamuna plain areas of Delhi which are most affected. So far, the police have evacuated over 3000 people and over 1500 animals who were stranded. Not only the personnel but senior officers are also taking part in the rescue operations in relocating stranded people.
