Advocate jumps to death in Saket court of Delhi

New Delhi, January 30

A Delhi based advocate allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the Saket Court building. 

The deceased was identified as Om Kumar Sharma (44). The police said that he was suffering from a liver ailment and left a suicide note at the spot.

The police received a call around 8 pm about the incident. The court staff told police that they saw an advocate jump from the lawyer’s chambers and had died. Hi body ws found lying in the parking lot. 

The police added that before the incident, he went to a hospital with his wife and later came to court. He left his wife at the main gate and went inside. Around 20-30 minutes later, his wife found out about the incident.

The police are conducting an enquiry under the CrPC.
