Air India plane crash- Both black boxes recovered, AAIB and NTSB probe

New Delhi, June 16
The probe in Air India plane crash has gained momentum. The investigators have retrieved the Cockpit Voice Recorder black box.
The black box in airplane records the moments and events inside the cockpit. This will help identify the possible cause behind the deadly crash that killed 270 people, including 241 people on board.
Earlier, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) had confirmed that only the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) was found. However now with the finding of both black boxes of the plane, it would be easy to find the cause of the crash for investigators.
The AAIB has launched a detailed investigation, and the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is conducting a parallel probe under international protocols, as the aircraft is American-made, the release stated.
All but one of the 242 passengers and crew on board the Boeing 787-8(AI 171) and another 29 people, including five MBBS students, on the ground were killed when the London-bound aircraft crashed into the nearby campus of the medical college in Meghaninagar area.
