Anonymous bomb threat on INS Vikrant at Kochi shipyard, Kerala Police book a case under IT Act

The Kerala Police registered a case in connection with an anonymous email threatening to bomb INS Vikrant, the indigenous aircraft carrier under construction in Kochi.
The Ernakulam police that has Cochin shipyard under their jurisdiction stated that the Cochin Shipyard received an anonymous email two weeks ago threatening to blow up INS Vikrant with a bomb.
Besides, the Kerela police, the police added,any central police agencies are looking into the matter to ascertain of it's a terror threat or not.
It should be noted that back in July this year, Eid Gul, an Afghan national, was apprehended for working at the Cochin Shipyard even after his visa had expired. He was arrested from Kolkata, where he had gone into hiding.
The INS Vikrant, the first aircraft carrier to be built in India, is in the final stages. The sea trials were done last month, 12 years after the keel was laid - in February 2009.
The Ernakulam police have registered a case under the IT-Act 385.
