Senior IPS officer ADGP Harmeet Singh has been appointed as new the Guwahati Police Commissioner.
Harmeet Singh, a 1992-batch IPS (Indian Police Service) officer.
However, Harmeet Singh will continue to be substantively posted as the Additional Director General of Police (Border).
Harmeet Singh has replaced Munna Prasad Gupta as the new Guwahati Police Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Munna Prasad Gupta, who was substantively posted as ADGP (CID), Assam is transferred and posted substantially as ADGP (Vigilance & Anti-Corruption), Assam.
The official notification further stated that Munna Prasad Gupta is also allowed to hold the additional charge of ADGP (Administration and M&L), Assam.
