Auto rickshaw driver killed in head on collison with delhi police constable's car

The auto driver's autorickshaw collided with constable Varun Yadav’s Hyundai i10

New Delhi, November 4

An autorickshaw driver was killed after a head-on collision with a car driven by a Delhi Police constable on Trilokpuri road.

The police identified the deceased as Harsh (24), who was allegedly coming from the opposite side of the road when his autorickshaw collided with constable Varun Yadav’s Hyundai i10. Yadav is posted with Mayur Vihar police station.

The police stated that Harsh had already been taken to a hospital, the constable  was present at the spot.

The police added that the autorickshaw was found to be broken and deceased was found slit from broken glass.

Harsh was rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

DCP (East) Apoorva Gupta said the constable underwent a breath analyser test and was not found under the influence of alcohol. His blood sample was collected and sent it to the forensic science laboratory for further analysis. 

The Delhi Police have also initiated a departmental inquiry against him.
