Bengaluru hostel girl murder- police arrest the accused held from MP

The accused Abhishek, known to victim Kirti had fled to Madhya Pradesh after committing the crime

New Delhi, July 27

The Bengaluru police have arrested the killer who stabbed a girl inside her hostel in Bengaluru's Koramangala.

The accused, identified as Abhishek, had fled to Madhya Pradesh after brutally killing Kriti Kumari on the night of July 23. The victim, who worked at a private company, was a colleague of the attacker's girlfriend.

As per the case details, the incident occurred at Bhargavi Staying Homes For Ladies in Venkatreddy Layout. The accused sneaked into the PG hostel and slit Kriti's throat with a knife near her room on the third floor at 11.30 pm on July 23. The girl died on the spot. 

The chilling CCTV footage of the incident showed the accused walking up to Kriti's room in the hostel and knocking on the door. As the victim opens the door, she is dragged out and stabbed multiple times. The other girls in the hostel rush after several minutes to see but the girl struggling to survive dies.

The accused has been booked for murder and being interrogated to ascertain the motive behind the murder. 

So far, it has come to the fore that the accused was in a relationship with Kirti's friend and blamed the deceased for his break up.
