BSF seizes Heroin from indo Pak border Punjab

Two packets were found lying in border village in Tarn Taran district

New Delhi, September 16

The Border Security Force (BSF) seized packets of Heroin from the Indo Pak border in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. 

The BSF stared that while patrolling and search operation during the night hours, observed two suspected packets in border area of district Tarn Taran. The troops immediately seized the packets and conducted follow up search of the adjoining areas. 

The officials said that the packets which were recovered at 09:45 pm were found to be wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape secured with a black tape. 

An improvised iron ring and two illuminating sticks were also found attached to each packet. The heroin in both packets weighs 1.146 Kgs  

The BSF noted that keen observation and diligent efforts of BSF troops effectively thwarted yet another attempt of smuggling of narcotics consignment in Punjab from across the border.
