CBI arrests accused forest guard of J&K forest department in bribery case

The accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 35000 from the complainant for allowing the complainant for smooth execution of contract work : CBI

New Delhi, March 27

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested accused Forest Guard, J&K Forest Department, Billawar Zonal Office, District Kathua, UT of J&K, for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs Rs.35,000 from the complainant. 

The CBI stated that a a case was registered against  said accused on the allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs.  35000 from the complainant  for allowing the complainant for smooth execution of contract work i.e. construction / repair of road and release of key of JCB machine forcibly taken by accused.

The CBI laid a trap and caught accused Forest Guard, red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.35,000 from the complainant. Later, accused has been arrested. 

Thr CBI also conducted search at residential of accused in Tehsil-Bilawar, District Kathua which led to recovery of some incriminating documents.
