CBI arrests Delhi Police constable red handed accpeting bribe on behalf of Sub Inspector

New Delhi, November 26

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a head constable of the Delhi Police for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakhs on behalf of Crime Branch Anti-Human Trafficking Task force (ANTF). 

Sanjay Kumar, head constable, took a bribe on the directions of Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and ASI Kirori Mal of Crime Branch ANTF, Daryaganj.

The Delhi Police have suspended SI Sanjeev Kumar and ASI Mal. 

The CBI team laid a trap and caught the constable red-handed taking for Rs 2 lakh for not implicating an accused. 

In last one year, more than 15 personnel of Delhi Police have been held red handed accepting bribe in various cases.
