CBI arrests two including CBI Inspector in Chhattisgarh in bribery case

The CBI laid a trap and caught a middleman red – handed while accepting bribe of Rs. three lakhs on behalf of accused Inspector of CBN

New Delhi, November 25

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two accused including Inspector of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) and a private person for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.3 lakhs from the complainant.

The CBI registered the case against accused Inspector of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Chittorgarh & unknown others on allegations that accused demanded bribe of  Rs. 20 lakhs from the complainant for disposal of case against him / his clinic. Later, accused demanded bribe of Rs. 8 lakhs. 

The CBI laid a trap and caught a middleman red – handed while accepting bribe of Rs. three lakhs on behalf of accused Inspector of CBN, Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). Subsequently both the accused persons were arrested.

The agency also conducted searches at the residential and official premises of the accused Inspector at Chittorgarh & Bikaner (Rajasthan) which led to recovery of incriminating documents.
